Product information
Only use the diamond-coated surface of the sharpening rods for very blunt knives.
After sharpening your blade, you need to smooth (polish) the ridge
again using the ceramic surfaces. To maintain the sharpness of blades
you use daily, use the ceramic surfaces.

Cleaning the sharpening rods
Rinse the sharpening rods with water and dry them. If you
do not dip the blade in water before polishing them with
the ceramic surfaces, a coating may form on the ceramic that
lessens the polishing effect. You can easily remove this
coating using steel wool and water. Alternatively, ‘magic eraser’ sponges are suitable for cleaning the ceramic surfaces.

If you use the ceramic surfaces frequently, they will inevitably grey slightly.
This does not have an impact on their functioning.
