Pork scalding agent is an active ingredient granulate that is added to the water during scalding of slaughtered pigs to loosen and shed the bristles.

Adding pork scalding agent to the scalding process assists in cleaning the carcass and facilitates subsequent butchering.

Using hot water during scalding makes it more effective.

Recommended use:
Pork scalding agent is added to the water during scalding of pigs at a concentration of 350–750 g/1000 l of water. The contact time of the scalding liquid should be up to 10 minutes at a temperature of at least 60°C.
